Ticketing Terms and Conditions

Umbrella: Winter City Sounds (herein referred to as “Umbrella Festival”) is a two-week open access live music festival presented by Music SA (ABN 19079445051).

These terms and conditions form a legally binding agreement between you and Umbrella Festival for the use and sale of tickets. By purchasing a ticket, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

All Umbrella Festival tickets are sold by Umbrella Festival through the Red61 VIA ticketing platform supported by FringeTIX on behalf of the organisation or artists responsible for providing the event and subject to the conditions applicable to that event or for the venue where presented.


All tickets include a $3.00 Customer Booking Fee, included in the advertised ticket price.

All transactions made online at www.umbrellaadelaide.com.au incur a $1.80 Web Transaction Fee.

Any discounted ticket offer only applies to the ticket price, not the Customer Booking Fee or the Web Transaction Fee.


All ticket sales are final. Umbrella Festival will not refund, cancel or exchange any ticket except in accordance with Live Performance Australia (LPA) Ticketing Code of Practice or otherwise as required by law.

Refunds are only permitted if a performance is cancelled, re-scheduled or significantly re-located (and you cannot or do not wish to attend the re-scheduled or re-located event).

If an event or performance is cancelled, your ticket can be refunded via the point of sale.

If the ticket price is discounted after you purchase your ticket, you will not be entitled to a refund.

Refunds for tickets purchased by credit card will be refunded to that credit card only.

General Terms and Conditions

If an event is cancelled, no obligation is assumed by Umbrella Festival for arranging a substitute event. Refunds for tickets purchased by credit card will be refunded to that credit card.

The right is reserved by the event organiser to add, withdraw or substitute artists or vary advertised events, ticket prices, audience capacity or seating arrangements and make other variations as necessary.

The venue’s management reserves the right to refuse admission. Should a venue refuse your admission, you are not entitled to a refund of the ticket.

Some venues have no alcohol or non-smoking restrictions. Refer to conditions of entry at venue.

The event organiser reserves the right to film, video, record, photograph, broadcast or telecast the event.

Umbrella Festival collects your personal information in case of an event cancellation or change. If you fail to supply sufficient and appropriate contact information Umbrella Festival is not responsible for failure to contact you.

Ticket scalping is illegal. Tickets may not be resold or offered for resale at a premium price. Use of tickets in a manner which breaches any of these terms and conditions may attract criminal penalties. Umbrella Festival will issue e-tickets only; no tickets will be posted. Umbrella Festival is ticketed across multiple ticketing platforms, you are bound by the terms and conditions of each specific platform.

Your order confirmation and Umbrella Festival ticket may feature a QR code. Please read all information on your order confirmation carefully, as this will inform you how your venue will admit you.

Your order confirmation or e-Ticket can be presented at the venue on a smart phone or tablet.

Some venues may require you to print your tickets prior to attending the performance, check your order confirmation for details.

Concession card holders

Holders of valid concession cards may be eligible for concession price tickets, where applicable. This includes seniors, students and health care card holders. You may be asked to show your valid concession card when entering the venue and may be denied entry should you fail to supply valid ID relating to your concession.

Ratings and Content Warnings

Umbrella Festival is an open access festival and does not see any of the works prior to the festival. All events are self-rated by the Artists and Events and Umbrella Festival does not take any responsibility for an incorrect rating, or unsuitability of an event.

Unless a performance is categorised as a children’s event, show content may not be suitable for all ages.

Please note, some venues may have liquor licensing in place that does not allow under 18s in past a certain time. If unsure, you are advised to contact the venue prior to purchasing your ticket. You will not be entitled to a refund should you be refused admission based upon your age or ability to verify the same.

Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the program and its details, however event details, prices and ratings are subject to change wherever necessary and without notice.

Accessibility and Companion Cards

Companion Card tickets are unable to be booked online as they are a complimentary ticket and to ensure the integrity of the companion card scheme, companion card numbers must be quoted at the time of booking. Please call (08) 8100 2012

Live Performance Australia

If you are unsure if a payment has gone through, please contact Umbrella Festival by emailing info@umbrellafestival.com.au immediately. If payment has been unsuccessful, we can happily help you secure your tickets. We are unable to provide a refund for duplicate bookings, so if you are unsure, it is best to check with us before proceeding on a secondary transaction.
